Oak Lawn Children's Museum

All right folks... get ready for lots of updates because I am going to get this blog updated (as quickly as possible!)  I'm excited to spend more time with it after my husband purchased us a new computer (that is SOOOO much faster) and a comfy new desk chair.

January 2:  During Sadie's last week of winter break we decided to do something fun.  Marc went back to work on this day so the kids and I decided to check out a local children's museum with our museum pass...

Fishing in the Water Table
Sand Table

Grocery Shopping--this checkout really "Beeped" when you swiped the food!

Dress Up!

Painting

Art Center--Always S's favorite!

Ambulance
Veterinarian Center

Sadie loved this listening tribute to 9/11--it had some actual pieces of building remains... She asked lots of questions!

We walked to dunkin' donuts for a treat to enjoy on the way home!
The kids loved this museum!  Their favorite exhibit was probably the veterinarian clinic with life size animals & crates.  I loved the open layout--it was easy to see all the kids even when they were in different areas.  This museum also had a HUGE collection of dress up costumes and big theater area for kids to perform.

We got to go back to this same museum on January 25th with our MOPS group.  Despite the yucky weather, 6 moms showed up--we had as much fun as the kiddos!
