As I'm sure many of you know, our friend Evan was diagnosed with leukemia in December. We were in a small group with Evan's family for almost a year when we first moved and began attending the Village. We love their family so much and have been enthusiastic to do whatever we can to support them during this difficult time. One of the girls at our church designed these "Evangers" shirts for Evan. The shirts are green (Evan's favorite color) or orange (leukemia awareness). All of our kids love wearing their shirts--but Macey especially loves hers! She requests it often and wears it at least once a week.
On March 16 we were able to attend a benefit being held in Evan's honor. The best part about going is that our whole small group went together! The benefit was held in Dwight (Evan's hometown) the day before St. Patrick's Day.
Our kids had so much fun with their small group buddies (7 little ones!) Unfortunately Sadie was spending the night with Ms. Jennifer so she missed out... The kids had fun dancing, doing the cake walk, eating yummy desserts, and lots of laughing!

Macey was a little scared of the cakewalk, but Kinnick helped her! |
