Christmas Means More to Me...

One of Sadie's songs from Kid's Choir was called Christmas Means More to Me. We enjoyed singing this song together in the car and talking about what Christmas really means. I brainstormed with the kids to come up with some ideas about how we could show Jesus' love to others during the Christmas season. Here are a few that we came up with:
They made little treat bags for Ms. Tracey our mail lady and our garbage man. Kinnick was especially excited to give treats to the garbage man. This summer when were outside a lot we always had to watch for him on Wednesdays and talk to him on our walks.
Sadie was my little elf--she helped me deliver plates of all the goodies we baked to 5 different neighbors. She loved knocking on the door and saying "Merry Christmas!"

After Christmas was over the kids went through all the toys and books and picked out some to donate. This was particularly hard for Sadie (she was quick to donate Kinnick and Macey's stuff, but hesitant to part with any of her own things!) We decided to take some to our church to put in each of the three kids' classrooms and also saved some things for Baby Knopp.
