How We Spent Our Snow Days...

So technically we only had one snow day (since Sadie only goes to school two times per week) but we enjoyed mostly indoor activities the last few days. Sadie wasn't feeling to well Monday night, so she stayed home from school Tuesday and Marc ended up coming home from work early Tuesday night. We all had a "snow day" Wednesday because Marc didn't go to work. This is the first time the bank has been closed due to snow since Marc has worked there! Thursday was another snow day and our elementary schools had a 3rd snow day today. We enjoyed the unexpected mid-week family day! Here are some of the things we did this week:

We played in the Snow!
Kinnick enjoyed using his new shovel to help daddy shovel snow.
The kids loved climbing on the 6 foot piles of snow we created alongside our driveway!
We even ventured over to the neighbor's house which turned out to be much harder than I thought (walking through the unplowed alley--2 feet of snow--with Sadie and Kinnick!) Kinnick didn't make it, but Sadie was very determined to go play with her friends!
We stayed in our jammies ALL day!
We colored.
We ate snacks.
We had some movie time.
We played games! (Hungry Hungry Hippos, Toy Story Memory, Little Einstein Puzzle Game, Ele-Fun, Cards, & Wii)
We looked at books...including ALL of our picture books!
We played dress-up.
We had a girl's morning (while Kinnick was at Ms. Jennifer's) and painted nails.

Macey got her toenails painted for the first time!
We had remote-control car races.
And we did LOTS of baking! (Snow ice cream, soft pretzel bites, chocolate cake, party mix, and cookies.)

We were out of vanilla so we made peppermint snow ice cream.

Sadie wanted to make sugar cookies with sprinkles and Marc wanted snicker doodles... so we compromised!
