Easter

March 26-27, 2016:  We had fun spending the whole weekend at Grandpa & Grandma Henry's.  We enjoyed playing outside in the nice weather, an Easter Egg hunt at church, decorating eggs at Aunt Trista's, searching for Easter baskets from Grandpa & Grandma, Sadie & Macey's birthday party, Sunrise Church Service, Easter Baskets (from mom & dad), Easter Service, and a BIG Behymer family lunch with lots of second cousins to play with.  This particular Easter was also Sadie's 9th birthday.  We ended our Easter by driving to Mascoutah to stay with our awesome friends, the Casey family.  This was such a great kick-off to our spring break week!

Not much was open on Easter evening so we stopped at McDonald's for dinner.  We let the birthday girl get a BIG soda as a special treat!

March 26, 2016:  We enjoyed a fun weekend in Bowen to celebrate Easter and the girls' birthdays.  Aunt Trista hosted ALL the cousins for some Easter Egg fun!

Easter 2015

April 5:  Another beautiful Easter Sunday.  This has become a very low-stress holiday for us!  We don't usually travel, cook a huge meal, or do anything elaborate.  We spend time with each other and our enjoy our church family and that is enough.  Our tradition has become to begin our day with Resurrection Eggs to focus on what Jesus did for us during Holy Week.  We don't get up early because our church doesn't do a sunrise service.  After our eggs, we eat breakfast and get ready for church.  When we get home from church we find our Easter baskets.  This year Marc grilled for us and I made a few simple sides.  We spent the entire afternoon playing outside and hanging out with our neighbors.
