Eggs Galore

April 4:  We had a fun "day before Easter" with Grandpa & Grandma Henry.  We started our morning by hunting for Easter baskets from Grandpa & Grandma (in our pj's!)...

Next, we all walked over to a retirement center called "The Timbers."  They do lots of community events for different holidays.  They always have a HUGE Easter Egg hunt with lots of fun family activities.  This is the first year we've gotten to check it out.  It was very crowded with tons of people there but we enjoyed lots of different things:  Balloon pit (for Carver), Egg Scramble (for the big kids), Petting Zoo, Snacks, and a Wagon Ride...

We came home to hunt more eggs from Grandpa & Grandma.  They hid eggs in the yard for the kids to collect before they had to leave...

Thanks Grandpa & Grandma for making special Holiday memories for us!

Chicago Bulls

April 3:  I have wanted to go to a Bulls game ever since we moved to "Chicago" area.  Basketball is my favorite professional sport to watch and anyone who grew up in the 80's/90's of course knows who Michael Jordan is!  Marc and I attend a YMCA gala each year and their are always lots of fun action items to bid on.  This year we set our sights on some Bulls Tickets.  No one else was bidding on them, so we got a really good deal!  Our package came with a parking pass and passes to the exclusive in-stadium restaurant.  We drove up early so we could eat there before the game.  We got to park so close and our seats were AMAZING!  We were definitely spoiled for any future trips to see the Bulls!  The game was so entertaining--I loved all the extra things we got to watch including the cheerleaders, Lov-a-Bulls, and special olympics basketball at half-time.  It was fun to see the personalities of the different players and the Bulls pulled off a super-entertaining victory with a buzzer shot to win the game!  It was such a fun date night!

A Night at the Drive-In

April 3:  I saw this idea on Pintrest some time ago and have been holding on to some big boxes.  The kids were excited to try a home "Drive-In" movie.  My parents came up Easter weekend to stay with the kids while Marc and I went to a Bulls Game.  I thought this could be a fun activity for them to do with Grandpa & Grandma.  I gave them art supplies and let them use the garage to make their cars.  My parents helped run the "concession stand" and let the kids have their night at the "drive-in"...

Concession Stand!

Twinkie Twins

April 2:  These two... I love their relationship.  15 months apart in age.  1 grade apart in school.  They have always been inseparable.  I have been asked many times if they are twins (due to the fact that for the last year now they have been nearly the same weight & height!)  I always wanted twins--with each pregnancy... maybe this was God's way of giving me twins.  I hope that they will always remain this close as they grow.  When Macey asked Kinnick if they could dress as twins, he agreed instantly.  They have already done this once for school this year (minus the pink & purple socks!)
