Happy Birthday Kinnick

November 4, 2016:  Because of our Africa trip, Marc and I were going to be gone on Kinnick's birthday. I told him we could plan his party early so we would be able to celebrate before we left.  This year he decided on a Lego-themed skating party.  We had all the boys meet at our house and enjoyed a little Lego building contest, cookie cake, and presents.  Next, it was on to Family Fun zone for skating, pizza, laser tag, and arcade games.  We had such a fun night.  This was also how I got to enjoy MY birthday.

Aunt NeeNee came to help out!  She spent time hanging out with the girls and Carver so Marc and I could host K's party!

We made Lego cookies for take-home favors!

CUBS WIN!!!!

November 2, 2016:  What an exciting time to be a Cubs fan!!!!  We loved watching the play off games and especially the World Series.  All Cubs fans know how long we've been waiting for this day, but its so hard to describe the level of excitement everywhere!  We let the kids stay up to watch, but one by one they fell asleep.  Kinnick made it to the rain delay (already after 11PM) and not knowing how long it would be, we had him go to bed.  When they started playing again and the Cubs scored we tried to get him up but he was OUT.  What an awesomely exciting game to watch!  We loved seeing fireworks from every direction out our back door when the Cubs won.  The kids also loved counting all the "W" flags we could find around town!
Sadie put herself to bed shortly after 9.

Carver made it to about 9:15.

Macey lasted a bit longer!

This kid was awake into the 10th inning until we had him go to bed during the rain delay.
CUBS WIN!!!  These newspapers were hard to find, but we finally got our hands on 5 copies so we could save one for each kiddo.

Hofer Parent Lunches

November 1 & 3, 2016:  We always love the chance to join our kiddos at school for a special day!  This was Sadie's last parent luncheon at Hofer (so hard to believe!).  Some years it is so very cold but this year we enjoyed some gorgeous fall days visiting the kiddos!

Halloween

October 31, 2016:  Another year, more Halloween, Trick-or-Treating fun!  This year, Sadie designed her own costume (after lots of pinterest searching and planning!).  She did it with minimal help from me... she was a Starbucks Latte.  Kinnick was and Carver were Cubs players (as were 90% of the little boys in the Chicago land area!) and Macey was a witch.  I had fun helping with Kinnick's class party and we joined our friends, the Spikers for dinner and trick-or-treating.

MSI

October 30, 2016:  We enjoyed one last visit to the MSI before our membership expired...  We loved all the exploring we got to do over the past year!  Highlights for this trip were the special Lego exhibit and getting hot chocolate (for free!) in the memeber's lounge... out of all of the awesome stuff we got to do and see over our many visits, free hot chocolate rank amongst our kids most favorite!

Halloween Parade & Pumpkins

October 29, 2016:  Oh my goodness.. the most beautiful Fall day!  We enjoyed meeting up with some friends for the Minooka Halloween parade (after a morning of football!)  After catching some candy, we enjoyed heading home to carve pumpkins.  Fall is the best, I love fall traditions!
