September/October: Marc coached Kinnick's team for Fall Baseball. He moved up from Shetland (that he played during the summer) to Pinto. The biggest difference being that he moved from coach pitch to player pitch. For each game, they use the pitching machine for 3 innings and then the players pitch. We had fun spending most of our Saturday mornings (and some weeknight evenings) at the ball field. Carver always wanted to wear Kinnick's old hat and take his glove to every game. He always enjoyed doing team huddles after each game.
One of the dad's that helped Marc coach told the boys that if anyone caught a fly ball he would pay them $5. Three fly balls were caught during the season--two by Kinnick! |
This little boy thought he was on the team! |
We were cracking up at Kinnick's batting stance--he may have watched too many Cubs games with his dad! Marc told him he was not allowed to bang his bat on the plate or hold his hand out to call time! |
So proud of my little boy and my hubbie! |
