August 15: This was our 2nd annual beach trip with the Downings. We had so much fun! Our kids keep getting bigger which makes things easier (but we keep adding kids also!!!) We met up at Indiana Dunes state park and packed a picnic lunch. This year we stepped it up a notch and took our mini grill. We grilled burgers and hot dogs. We ate lots of snacks, built sand castles, climbed the dunes, played A LOT, and it was a great day. We left in time to avoid the rain and made a stop at Portillos to end our evening together. Perfect day, perfect company!
