September 4-6: I believe we have a new family tradition! We attended Family Camp this year over Labor Day weekend with the Casey family. We went to Little Galilee Camp in Clinton, IL. Liz's Uncle is the director her and our church sends campers here each summer (so our kids will likely be going on their own in a few years!) We had a blast!! We got to do so many fun things including: swimming, zip-line, canoeing, fishing, carpet ball, and more! We enjoyed eating meals together in the cafeteria, getting snacks in the canteen, roasting hot dogs & s'mores over a fire, going to classes (they had daily programs for adults and children), family time programs--including a science show that the kids loved, night swimming, play games, making new friends, watching plays the kids made up, and a lot of free time to hang out together. We stayed in a cabin together but we had separate sleeping areas/bathrooms--guys on one side, girls on the other with a common area/mini kitchen in the middle. We loved every minute of the 3 days/2 nights we spent together. We left a little early on Sunday night so we could hit up Monical's Pizza on the way home. We really loved every minute of this fun-filled weekend and can't wait to go back!

To say these kids were tired by the time we got home Sunday night would be an understatement! |
