August 17: Another year... New teachers to meet. We have been blessed at Hofer Elementary School to have amazing teachers and this year was no exceptions! Macey has Ms. Busz this year (a new teacher to Hofer). Her classroom has an ocean theme to it. Kinnick has Mrs. Pokrajac. As we were waiting to get the teacher letters, he kept hoping for Ms. Johnston. We didn't know Mrs. Pokrajac but when we got to her room we found it she was Ms. Johnston! Newly married, she has taught K and 1st grade at Hofer since Sadie was in K. Kinnick's classroom has a jungle theme with lots of monkies! Sadie is in ACE this year. ACE is an accelerated 3rd/4th grade classroom. Sadie will have Mrs. Wells this year and again next year because it is a 2-year program. Sadie was so thrilled to be in ACE (this was what she really, REALLY wanted but we didn't find out until the week that school started.) She loves the fast pace, the hands on activities, the group projects, and the technology. She is being challenged and loving school this year!
