April 1: Doc McStuffins
April 1: My BIG boy... loves his bottles!
April 1: When Dad was a gone we had a special night in... bagel pizzas, fruit & yogurt parfaits, and Mary Poppins
April 6: Movin' & Groovin'
April 11: I went with a group of girlfriends to hear Shauna Niequiest speak. Her talk "More Love, Less Hustle" was absolutely great. I loved hearing her speak (she is a Chicago land native but speaks all over the contry!). I have also enjoyed two of her books--"Cold Tangerines" and "Bread & Wine".

April 21: Brother Love
May 1: We went to Lincoln Park Zoo on a field trip with Ms. Pearl's. Our church helped chaperone the trip. It was chilly and a bit rainy, but that didn't stop us from having fun. Most memorable part of the trip... our bus broke and we were stuck for almost 2 hours while we waited for someone to come fix it!!
May 4: Sadie had a super fun shopping spree to Claire's. She had two gift cards from her birthday to start earring collection.
May 8: A little dirt never hurt anyone...
May 10: We did a Saturday morning family bike ride. We rode about 7.5 miles to a local park and back.
May 10: "Kickin' It for Cure It" Our small group attended a western-themed benefit to support a local charity, The Cure It Foundation, that supports pediatric cancer research. One mom in our group works for the foundation (her daughter had a blood disorder called ITP) and another mom in our group organized the benefit (along with three other cancer moms).
Nichole's daughter Aubrey recently finished her 2 year treatment plan for leukemia. I met Nichole in our MOPS group and her family joined our small group about a year ago. |
May 12: Sleeping Sisters
May 12: I helped the kids plan a special birthday celebration to honor Ms. Sarah. We made cupcakes and took her out to Chuck E Cheese.
May 15: A group of my girlfriends were lucky enough to have the opportunity to see Jen Hatmaker speak. She was even more fabulous in person! Hilarious, inspiring, and beautiful...
May 16: Grocery Shopping
May 20: Date Night--Marc was honored at YMCA dinner.
May 123: Sadie's Classroom
May 30: We hosted a baby "sprinkle" for a family in our small group that was pregnant with twins. It was so much fun!! We ate lots of yummy food & cupcakes, played a fun "mad libs" game to write their birth story, and the guys had a race to see who could assemble a pack & play, swaddle a baby, sing a lullaby, and lay the baby down. Josh (the dad-to-be) won! Jen & Josh chose not to find out the gender of the babies. They have 4 girls (17-15-10-2) and ended up having TWIN BOYS! We are so excited that they are a part of our group.
