February 7: We went to our first Hawkeye game as a family! They played at Illinois on a Sunday afternoon. Some of our good friends from our church, the Penningtons went with us. Meg is an Iowa Alum and Brian is an Illinois fan. Their son Barrett is a loyal Hawkeye fan but their daughter Parker is usually on her dad's side. We had a great time going out to breakfast and enjoying the game together! The Hawkeye victory was icing on the cake! We were surrounded by a few other Hawks to help us cheer on our team...
